‘t IJ Turbock #

★★★★☆

Last in our second ‘t IJ triptych was the terrific Turbock. Topped in a tuft of turgid white mousse the abyssal tangerine tone bathed in beautiful lace. Grassy scents of hay and asparagus typical of ‘t IJ’s touch were articulated in conjunction with fresh pineapple, banana and mango. A warming winterly blend of chocolate and coriander quietly expresses the magnanimous attitude of this beer before it truly takes precedent on the palate. Dry, bitter coffee and chocolate flavors match the sweet spicy character induced by cinnamon, vanilla, pepper, coriander and nutmeg. Rich but quite refreshing and not out of place on a summer day.
